Infrastructure and Manufacturing
Our Infrastructure and Manufacturing sector experience includes four key sub sectors comprising Manufacturing, Energy Renewable and Infrastructure. With approximately 40% of our current turnover in this sector our range of services is predominantly in the provision of Cost Management, Contract Administration and Project Management. The main sub sector in which we are currently working is distilleries. Thomson Bethune has been working in distilleries for over 30 years for clients such as Diageo, Glenmorangie, MaCallam, The Famous Grouse, Highland Park, Whyte and Mackay and Chivas Brothers. We have a knowledge of a variety of projects from new build Warehousing, Warehouse Repairs, Installation of Biomass Plants, New Tank Farms and Bottling Plants with services ranging from Cost Management, Project Controls, Value Management and Capital Allowances.
Thomson Bethune also has experience of renewable energy technologies and sustainable design standards from research programmes through to product evaluation and installations. We have been heavily involved with Heriot Watt University on their Tarbase research project, which examined technologies which would reduce carbon emissions in the built assets and Energyflo who have produced a leading edge renewable product which is a simple heat transfer product.
