Trainee Quantity Surveying Programme 2023 

Would you like to earn whilst you learn?..…

For nearly 40 years, Thomson Bethune has run a successful Trainee Quantity Surveying Recruitment Programme, enabling individuals to achieve their BSc/BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying with on-the-job training and structured support during their time at university.

Due to its ongoing success, we are looking for candidates for our 2023 programme.

This opportunity is suited to enthusiastic and committed individuals who, on successful entry to a Part Time BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying course will work alongside our other experience surveyors as well as other student surveyors who are at various stages of their studies and will have the opportunity to become involved in various new build and refurbishments projects across Scotland whilst receiving a salary.

The successful applicant will be offered a position in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow office and will attend university in line with the curriculum. They will also be entitled to our company pension scheme and other company benefits.

On completion of their university degree, we will further support them towards their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) examination to become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Quantity Surveyors 

Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are looking to add to our already successful Quantity Surveying team within our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.

We have a number of positions available within the company from graduate to experienced senior level. Candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic and proactive with ambitions for career progression. The company offers opportunities to work with both public and private clients across multiple sectors presenting a dynamic portfolio of work.

Building Surveyors

Due to our growth within our Building Surveying services, we are looking for Building Surveyors to join our Company based within of Glasgow or Edinburgh offices.  Working within a collaboratively and vibrant team, this role provides excellent prospects and the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, involving all aspects of building surveying.

Principal Designer experience is desirable but not essential.

Salary will be dependent on experience and will include a number of company benefits.
